Full IT services transition between Joint Venture (JV) partners

The programme involved a full IT services transition, from one JV partner to another.
The project comprised eight work streams: service desk, infrastructure, telecommunications,
desktop, licensing, business operations, human resources and finance.
The user base consisted of more than 800 users, spread across 35 sites, throughout the UK.
We project managed the programme through the design, implementation, testing and cutover
phases.

Migration of 250 users to a new central Citrix environment

The project migrated more than 250 users, across five sites, with local on-site terminal
servers, to a central Citrix solution.
We project managed the design, implementation and execution of the programme. This
included migration of one domain to another, migration from Lotus Notes to Exchange and
movement of data from local on-site terminal servers to central file servers.

New office and warehouse setup and user move

The project firstly implemented the IT infrastructure required at a new office and warehouse
facility, including new Wide Area Network (WAN), Structured Cabling, Local Area Network (LAN),
Wireless / RF, new Server Room, Telephone System, CCTV and Access Control.
Once the site infrastructure had been implemented and live, the project migrated a number of
users on a contract by contract basis to the new site.

Migration of 600 users to a new global corporate Active Directory (AD)

The project sought to migrate more than 600 users, across 12 sites, from legacy environments
to a new global corporate AD.
The project included the installation of new on-site servers, migration from legacy mail
platforms (both Lotus Notes and Exchange 5.5/2007), replacement client devices and
migration of shared and user data.
We managed the entire project through design, budget application, planning, resource
planning and recruitment execution to handing the finished project over to support.
